DON'T COUNT YOUR CHICKENS BEFORE THEY HATCH
Proverbs have long been used to state a general truth or give advice. Most cultures around the world use proverbs to teach lessons. For two days we will be studying proverbs (as we learned yesterday, Solomon was known for his wise proverbs), discovering their meaning, and creating an illustration to represent our proverb.
2 pt extra credit opportunity: Find another proverb from any culture of the world. Share it with the class by commenting to this post. Comment should include 1. state the proverb 2. explain the meaning and 3. explain when or why this proverb would be used or told by someone.

3.I think when you don't want to dance someone can say to you to watch us dance is to hear our hearts speak.
1. "you mess with the bull you get the horns"
ReplyDelete2. a bull has horns for obvious reasons so if you mess with it what obvious is going to happen
3. I think that it would be used to say that if you mess with someone you will get hurt.

ReplyDelete2. i think that the meaning behind this proverb is that everything and everyone in a child's life, there is a place in which it or the person is always remembered.
3. I think that this would be told to people so that they are careful with children, what they say around them, and keep them cautious.

3. When someone really is intresting to do something you could say "Where there is a will, there is a way.
Great posts so far girls! Those proverbs are really good and can be applied to our lives today. I am just curious as to where all the guys are??? Common guys, the girls are way out-posting you so far!
