DON'T COUNT YOUR CHICKENS BEFORE THEY HATCHProverbs have long been used to state a general truth or give advice. Most cultures around the world use proverbs to teach lessons. For two days we will be studying proverbs (as we learned yesterday, Solomon was known for his wise proverbs), discovering their meaning, and creating an illustration to represent our proverb.
2 pt extra credit opportunity: Find another proverb from any culture of the world. Share it with the class by commenting to this post. Comment should include 1. state the proverb 2. explain the meaning and 3. explain when or why this proverb would be used or told by someone.

1. "you mess with the bull you get the horns"

3. I think that it would be used to say that if you mess with someone you will get hurt.

ReplyDelete2. i think that the meaning behind this proverb is that everything and everyone in a child's life, there is a place in which it or the person is always remembered.
3. I think that this would be told to people so that they are careful with children, what they say around them, and keep them cautious.

3. When someone really is intresting to do something you could say "Where there is a will, there is a way.
