#SuperPRO - KnowStrength Shake

PRO is a time to become familiar, become friends and begin each day with a close group of peers. Sometimes, may I say, it's just necessary to let out a little of our. . . "wild side."

"KnowStrength Shake" - enjoy.

Thanks from KnowStrength

This post is simply to say thank you; to all of the students, parents, friends and other people who have followed our school year, I want to say thanks.

The students of team 6.3 love checking KnowStrength for a variety of reasons. - seeing photos, videos and work they have done, along with supplemental information and resources to help our learning.

Oh, and don't forget about feeding the Baby Sharks!

Checking the total visitor ticker on KnowStrength is also fun. My Students and I are impressed with the rapid view count - in little over five months, our site has been viewed over ten-thousand times. Thirty-two states, and thirty-two countries around the world have visited our online home.

Thanks for being a fan, a supporter and a fellow learner to us! If this was your first, fiftieth or thousandth visit - keep coming back for more.

The power of having "KnowStrength" gives us unlimited power and potential - the mind can fuel us to extraordinary things!

Charity Vote: Wax Museum 2013

Our Charity options - voted on by students - winner announced Monday
People helping people. That's our goal. The Wax Museum, which is little over two months away, is our chance to provide whatever service, support or help we can to those in need.

Today, students voted for the charity that will receive our hopefully large donation. Last year team 6.3 raised $1,386.08 in ninety minutes. This year, we're hoping to do even more.

Once our charity is chosen, we can begin envisioning the help we will provide. I'm proud of each student as they continue working hard on their school project as well as our ongoing project to change lives.

Over the Shoulder volume 4 - ancient Greece

Whether you're looking to review for our Greece Test, or if you're a casual passerby looking for some knowledge about the ancient Greeks, let me help you. Over the Shoulder volume 4 will highlight the most important topics, people, events and places of ancient Greece.

But beware, it's interactive - watching this by yourself may see awkward, but when a classroom of students is shouting their answers/responses at the smartboard it's pretty cool.

Good luck preparing tonight KnowStrengthers. Cheers

The Ancient Greeks would be Amazed

In 776 BC - roughly over 2,700 years ago, the people of ancient Greece began competing in athletic events to honor their gods. They also competed to show their physical prowess and unite the city-states (if only for a short time).

Today, the Olympic Games are a multi-billion dollar event. Held every four years (two years between Summer and Winter Games), the Olympics do the exact same things as the ancient games - unite the world, showcase athletic ability and honor the nature of competition.

Before we take look into the Olympic's origins, enjoy the video - Today's Olympic Games.
