They're not actually in Lunch Detention

"Lunch Detention" is all the videos we shot during the second-to-last week of school when tables of students came down to my room to eat, converse, film, and as you'll see, have a great time together.

Most students chose to answer the question "what was your favorite memory from the year?" but some also chose to share their advice for next year's students while others shared one last message for their teachers.

Each of my students is unique and special in their own way - I've never been more proud to be a teacher. 2013-14 has got some large shoes to fill. . .

I have not commented in a super long time and I feel super guilty. This comment is going to be about how you HAVE to switch to seventh grade. You should switch to 7th grade because if you don't, I will be super sad and I will have nothing to look forward to ever ever ever ever ever again. Second of all, you should switch because you want to. I remember in the beginning of the year you said that you wanted to be a 7th grade teacher. Follow your dreams! Another reason you should switch is because you will not like next year's students. They're delinquents and we're perfect little angels. So . . . yup.pppppppppppppplllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! That is pretty much it! Bye!

  2. Daniela - it had been quite a while! I was feeling mad, sad and bad that you'd already forgotten about your team 6.3 family. But I'm glad you haven't. As far as teaching 7th grade, although it may be my dream, the always tell me I am not smart enough to teach 7th grade - apparently 6th is my limit. . .

You'll love your new team next year, probably even more than your 6th grade year. . . which would also make me mad, sad and bad.

I am really going to miss the perfect little angels though when the delinquents show up :)

I'll keep posting as often as possible so keep checking for updates. Maybe I'll have to post about shingling!!!

I'm positive that you ARE smart enough to teach 7th grade, you probably just don't want to anymore. I will never have as much fun as I did in 6.3, especially since you won't be my teacher anymore. You'll probably just replace us next year (as teachers always do). At least now I know that I'm never going to be a teacher. I get too attached. *sigh* Well, I guess that's pretty much it. Bye.
